Espero que se encuentren muy bien, por mi parte estoy muy feliz y se debe a que recientemente he alcanzado una racha de 300 días aprendiendo inglés a través de la aplicación Duolingo y como recompensa por mi racha me obsequiaron 3 días de la versión plus, lo cual me encantó y aquí les quiero compartir mi experiencia.
I hope you are doing well, for my part I am very happy and it is because I have recently reached a streak of 300 days learning English through the application Duolingo and as a reward for my streak they gave me 3 days of the plus version, which I loved and here I want to share my experience.
Si hay algo que no podemos negar de la tecnología es que con ella podemos lograr muchísimas cosas y que ha llegado un punto en el que es inevitable su uso, pues es necesaria incluso para aprender bien sea desde casa o en cualquier parte, cuando se trata de aprender un idioma nuevo siempre buscamos diferentes opciones para determinar cuál es la que mejor se adapta a nuestras necesidades y aunque si bien todos preferiríamos asistir a un curso o a clases donde tengamos a un experto que nos enseñe y aclare todas nuestras dudas nunca está demás probar métodos diferentes y mientras sean gratuitos y desde casa será una buena alternativa para comenzar.
Hace un tiempo les había comentado que me encuentro aprendiendo ingles desde casa con la aplicación Duolingo, que si bien no es 100% efectiva ni mejor que asistir a un curso o clases presenciales es perfecto para reforzar lo que ya sabemos, aprender vocabulario, formar oraciones y ese tipo de cosas que con el tiempo se van olvidando si no se practican y es precisamente para eso que lo uso, aunque no les voy a negar que he aprendido unas cuantas cosas que desconocía, así que siento que no he perdido mi tiempo y que de alguna manera estoy aprendiendo así sea lento o poco.
Pero bueno, el tema es que hace aproximadamente 9 años conocí Duolingo pero nunca había logrado tener una racha tan extensa como la que tengo ahora, en este momento llevo 310 días continuos aprendiendo inglés, es decir, ya me falta poco para cumplir el año completo, y por haber alcanzado los 300 días la aplicación me obsequió 3 días de su versión plus, la cual es paga pero yo obtuve una prueba gratis que por supuesto aproveché.
If there is something that we cannot deny about technology, it is that with it we can achieve many things and that a point has come in which its use is inevitable, since it is necessary even to learn either from home or anywhere, when it comes to Before learning a new language we always look for different options to determine which one best suits our needs and although we would all prefer to attend a course or classes where we have an expert to teach us and clarify all our doubts, it never hurts to try different methods and as long as they are free and from home it will be a good alternative to start.
A while ago I had told you that I am learning English from home with the Duolingo application, which, although it is not 100% effective or better than attending a course or face-to-face classes, is perfect for reinforcing what we already know, learning vocabulary, forming sentences and that kind of thing that over time they are forgotten if they are not practiced and that is precisely why I use it, although I will not deny that I have learned a few things that I did not know, so I feel that I have not I wasted my time and somehow I'm learning even if it's slow or little.
But hey, the point is that approximately 9 years ago I got to know Duolingo but I had never managed to have a streak as long as the one I have now, at this moment I have been learning English for 310 continuous days, that is, I am almost there to to fulfill the full year, and for having reached 300 days the application gave me 3 days of its plus version, which is paid but I got a free trial that of course I took advantage of.
La versión plus o Super como se refieren en la aplicación brinda beneficios como vidas ilimitadas para poder practicar, es decir, en la versión gratuita solo tenemos 5 vidas, y si cometemos 5 errores perdemos las 5 vidas, para lo cual hay que esperar 4 horas por cada vida o practicar los errores para recuperar las vidas, mientras que en la versión Super se tienen vidas ilimitadas además de no poseer anuncios.
The plus or Super version as referred to in the application provides benefits such as unlimited lives to practice, that is, in the free version we only have 5 lives, and if we make 5 mistakes we lose 5 lives, for which there is You have to wait 4 hours for each life or practice the mistakes to recover the lives, while in the Super version you have unlimited lives in addition to not having ads.
Una vez que se activó mi prueba gratis de 3 días comencé a aprovecharla, sin perder tiempo y pude notar que en la esquina superior derecha el ícono de las vidas había cambiado, desde el inicio se ve un búho mientras que dentro de las lecciones en lugar del corazón de las vidas muestra un símbolo de infinito.
Aprovechando mi prueba gratuita me di cuenta de que si es más rápido hacer una lección, porque por más que me equivoque puedo seguir haciendo el intento sin perder la lección ni vidas hasta que logre completar la lección, no pierdes vidas pero debes repetir los errores que cometiste y así los corriges de inmediato por lo que aprender de una vez cual es la forma correcta.
Once my 3-day free trial was activated, I started to take advantage of it, without wasting time and I could notice that in the upper right corner the lives icon had changed, from the beginning an owl is seen while inside the lessons instead of the heart of lives shows an infinity symbol.
Taking advantage of my free trial I realized that it is faster to do a lesson, because even if I make a mistake I can continue trying without losing the lesson or lives until I complete the lesson, you don't lose lives but you must repeat the mistakes that you committed and thus correct them immediately so that you learn once and for all which is the correct way.
Aproveché mis 3 días de prueba gratis lo más que pude aunque no tanto como habría querido por falta de tiempo, pero gracias a las vidas ilimitadas logré avanzar un poco sin retrasos ni pérdida de tiempo, ciertamente esta modalidad me ayudó a corregir mis errores de manera más rápida sin tener que esperar a terminar la lección para repetirla o esperar a cargar todas mis vidas perdidas, por lo que al menos para mí es un gran beneficio, pues, me encuentro cursando la sección 75 y ahí ya as cosas están un poco difíciles, por lo que es común que cometa al menos un error, por otro lado la ausencia de anuncios también ayuda muchísimo, ya que en la versión gratuita para todo debes ver uno que en su mayoría son de 30 segundos de duración, que si bien no es tanto se vuelve realmente molesto si te dedicas a practicar por mucho tiempo porque siempre vas a tener que ver y ver anuncios incluso para recuperar tus vidas perdidas.
Apenas se cumplieron los 3 días de prueba gratuita se desactivó la versión Super de mi cuenta de Dolingo y efectivamente pude notar la diferencia, ya no podía avanzar tan rápido en mis lecciones y solo debía limitarme a mis 5 vidas disponibles procurando no equivocarme a la vez que presto atención para aprender bien la lección, pero ya luego de unos días me acostumbré nuevamente a esta modalidad, después de todo es la que siempre he utilizado para aprender.
I took advantage of my 3 days of free trial as much as I could, although not as much as I would have wanted due to lack of time, but thanks to the unlimited lives I managed to advance a little without delays or loss of time, certainly this modality helped me to correct my mistakes in a way faster without having to wait to finish the lesson to repeat it or wait to load all my lost lives, so at least for me it is a great benefit, because I am studying section 75 and there things are already a bit difficult , so it is common to make at least one mistake, on the other hand the absence of ads also helps a lot, since in the free version for everything you should see one that is mostly 30 seconds long, which although not It's so much it gets really annoying if you practice for a long time because you're always going to have to watch and watch ads even to get back your lost lives.
As soon as the 3 days of the free trial were over, the Super version of my Dolingo account was deactivated and I could indeed tell the difference, I could no longer progress so fast in my lessons and I only had to limit myself to my 5 available lives trying not to make mistakes while paying attention to learn the lesson well, but after a few days I got used to this modality again, after all it is the one I have always used to learn.
Como ya les mencioné al principio, al menos para mí esta no es una forma 100% efectiva de aprender inglés pero si es bastante útil para mantenerse al día con los conocimientos ya adquiridos en el idioma, me gusta que puedo hacerlo desde mi casa, en el horario de mi preferencia y dedicarle el tiempo que desee, a veces más o a veces menos pero al final de cuentas es algo que puedo hacer gratis desde la comodidad de mi hogar y eso solo lo hace posible el uso de la tecnología, que nos brinda alternativas fáciles y cómodas para aprender en casa, y así como Duolingo sé que existen muchas apps más para aprender cualquier cosa desde cualquier lugar, totalmente gratis, por lo que actualmente a diferencia de otros tiempos es más fácil aprender, estudiar y formarse, no hay excusas siempre que tengamos la tecnología de nuestro lado.
As I mentioned at the beginning, at least for me this is not a 100% effective way to learn English but it is quite useful to keep up with the knowledge already acquired in the language, I like that I can do it from my home, in the time of my choice and spend as much time as I want, sometimes more or sometimes less, but in the end it is something I can do for free from the comfort of my home and that is only made possible by the use of technology, which gives us easy and comfortable alternatives to learn at home, and just like Duolingo I know that there are many more apps to learn anything from anywhere, totally free, so currently, unlike other times, it is easier to learn, study and form, there are no excuses as long as we have technology on our side.
