Esta es una de las colecciones raras que tengo de Pokémon, se trata de unas chapas de refrescos de Pokémon. Tiene más de 20 años conmigo y casi las logro obtener todas, me faltaron solo 20. La marca de refrescos Golden, por ahí por el año 2000, había sacado este coleccionable y como mi encanto por Pokémon no era normal, me convertir en un recolector de chapas en cada punto donde vendieran refrescos y ni hablar de cuando iba a comprar uno, hacia al vendedor buscarme el refresco que tuviera el Pokémon que me faltara.
This is one of the rare Pokémon collections I have, it's about Pokémon soda caps. It has more than 20 years with me and I almost got them all, I only missed 20. The brand of Golden soft drinks, around the year 2000, had released this collectible and as my love for Pokémon was not normal, I became a collector of caps at every point where they sold soft drinks and not to mention when I went to buy one, I made the seller look for the soft drink that had the Pokémon that I was missing.
Esta colección puedo decir que fue algo divertida, recuerdo que en aquel entonces tenía un vecino que vendía comida rápida en un camión, lo que hoy llaman foodtruck. Todos mis amigos y yo, cuando escuchábamos que venía el camión de regreso a casa, salíamos corriendo a pedirle la bosa con todas las chapas de los refrescos, esto era algo que sucedía casi siempre los días sábados, ya que era un acumulado de chapas de todas las bebidas que vendían en la semana. Cuando el vecino nos entregaba la bolsa, comenzaba el desastre jajaja, todos como locos buscando aquellas chapas que nos faltaran.
I can say that this collection was something fun. I remember that back then I had a neighbor who sold fast food in a truck, what today is called a foodtruck. All my friends and I, when we heard that the truck was coming back home, we would run out to ask him for the bag with all the soda caps, this was something that happened almost always on Saturdays, since it was an accumulation of caps of all the drinks they sold during the week. When the neighbor gave us the bag, the disaster began hahaha, all of us like crazy looking for the missing caps.
Por ser tapas de metal, no todas imágenes de los Pokémon están conservadas en las mejores condiciones, pero considero que las tengo bien conservadas a pesar del tiempo. Tengo pensado ponerles una capa de resina, para que duren más y así también les da brillo. No tengo memoria de como conseguí el álbum donde se colocan, quizás nos los dio el vecino o en alguna tienda, lo cierto es que fue bueno tenerlo para así saber que Pokémon faltaba.
As they are metal covers, not all images of the Pokémon are preserved in the best conditions, but I consider that I have them well preserved despite the time. I plan to put a layer of resin on them, to make them last longer and also give them a shine. I have no memory of how I got the album where they are placed, maybe the neighbor gave them to us or in some store, the truth is that it was good to have it in order to know which Pokémon was missing.

Logre obtener a Eevee y sus evoluciones, siempre he amado esos Pokémon y me dispuse la tarea a conseguirlos todos o por lo menos los 4 primeros de esta primera generación de Pokémon. También sonaban mucho Mewtwo y Mew, por suerte también logre conseguirlos. Ahora, esta primera generación de Pokémon son 151 y la colección es de 154. La primera chapa que muestro en la portada, fue una de las más difíciles de conseguir y luego, hasta donde recuerdo, estaban la de Ash y otra que honestamente no sé cuál era.
I managed to get Eevee and its evolutions, I have always loved those Pokémon and I set myself the task to get them all or at least the first 4 of this first generation of Pokémon. Mewtwo and Mew also sounded a lot, luckily I also managed to get them. Now, this first generation of Pokémon are 151 and the collection is 154. The first soda cap that I show in the cover, was one of the most difficult to get and then, as far as I remember, there was the one of Ash and another one that I honestly don't know which one it was.
De los Pokémon iniciales también me faltaron algunos, esos Pokémon tenían algo especial y siempre lo van a tener. En aquella época, estaban las versiones azul, roja, verde y amarilla de Pokémon para Gameboy. Yo tenía la versión azul y sentarse a jugar con tus amigos, viendo una pantalla de unos 4 centímetros, ya se podrán imagina como era esa experiencia jajaja. Aunque primero se jugaba en un Gameboy con pantalla blanco y negro, pero eso lo dejamos para otra historia.
Of the initial Pokémon I also missed some, those Pokémon had something special and they always will. At that time, there were the blue, red, green and yellow versions of Pokémon for Gameboy. I had the blue version and sitting down to play with your friends, looking at a screen of about 4 centimeters, you can imagine what that experience was like hahaha. Although first it was played on a Gameboy with a black and white screen, but we'll leave that for another story.
Escribir de esto me transporta a una época bonita, una época en la que salir de cada a compartir con amigos lo era todo, a diferencia de ahora que los niños prefieren quedarse viendo pantallas. Ha sido un buen ejercicio para la memoria y pose un buen tiempo colocando cada chapa en su espacio, ahora solo queda proteger cada una con resina y evaluar si puedo colocarla en exhibición. Writing about this takes me back to a beautiful time, a time when going out to share with friends was everything, unlike now that children prefer to stay watching screens. It has been a good exercise for the memory and I have a good time placing each cap in its space, now it only remains to protect each one with resin and evaluate if I can put it on exhibition.
