Es un placer saludarles, a la vez de agradecerles la confianza de haber elegido a Geek Zone como su zona de tecnología favorita dentro de Hive. Su confianza eleva nuestro compromiso en hacer de Geek Zone una comunidad en la que juntos podamos vivir plenamente la pasión por la tecnología, por eso debemos asegurarnos de que este espacio sea lo más ameno y confiable para todos, asegurándonos de que el contenido que aquí se publique cumpla con los estándares permitidos dentro de la plataforma. En este sentido, a fin de garantizar un espacio cada vez más comprometido con la calidad y la excelencia, hemos decidido establecer nuevas normas tanto para la creación de contenido como para la sana convivencia.

La implementación de reglas, y su cumplimiento, es primordial en las comunidades organizadas, de ello depende su permanencia en el tiempo. Geek Zone nació para quedarse, con el propósito de que todos podamos crecer juntos y retroalimentarnos en el proceso, por ello daremos a conocer las nuevas normas de la comunidad, y también compartiremos con ustedes un cúmulo de sugerencias para que su esfuerzo se vea recompensado.

Antes de enumerar las reglas, hablaremos de las recomendaciones, presten mucha atención a los siguientes supuestos:

¿Sientes que tus publicaciones pasan desapercibidas o no generan el impacto esperado?

• Al respecto es necesario revisar qué tipo de contenido están compartiendo, tenga en consideración que el consumidor de contenido tecnológico busca novedad, ingenio, y originalidad; recuerde que el Internet está plagado de contenido de este tipo, así que debe procurar que el suyo marque la diferencia. Sea original, hable desde su experiencia y conocimiento, utilice un lenguaje natural, que sea comprensible y ameno.

• Defina títulos que atraigan la atención del lector. Evite títulos extremadamente largos, escríbalos en un solo idioma, no es necesario la traducción, si su publicación es bilingüe puede colocar al final del título (en-es).

• Elija preferiblemente imágenes/fotografías propias, de su autoría; pero si no es posible, entonces utilice únicamente aquellas que sean de libre uso sin derechos de autor, recomendamos los bancos de imágenes: pixabay.com, pexels.com, unsplash.com, pxhere.com. Evite referirse a fuentes comerciales que pongan en duda el libre uso del contenido. Siempre cite las fuentes, siempre, aun cuando sean propias.

Mis publicaciones ya no son valoradas como antes.

• Nunca está demás recordar que esta es una red social, por tanto, la interacción social es vital. Hemos notado que algunos usuarios publican su contenido, y desaparecen, no consumen el contenido compartido por otros miembros de la comunidad, no comentan, ni siquiera responden los comentarios de sus propias publicaciones. Entienda que poner en práctica la actividad social tiene un doble efecto, por un lado, estimula a sus compañeros a seguir creando contenido a fin a sus gustos, y por el otro lado, lo da a conocer a usted dentro de la comunidad. Es un ganar – ganar.

• Asegúrese de que el contenido compartido efectivamente corresponda con tecnología y sus nichos, de no ser así, debe usted saber que hay muchas comunidades específicas dentro de Hive donde su publicación será mejor valorada.

Estas recomendaciones y/o sugerencias son en pro de su beneficio, queremos que su esfuerzo sea recompensado, que su experiencia sea satisfactoria y agradable. Sabemos que los aspectos mencionados son considerados por la gran mayoría de los curadores que representan algún proyecto dentro de Hive, nuestra intención es que cada uno de ustedes tomen ventaja de esta información.

Ahora sí, hablemos de las reglas y/o normas para hacer vida dentro de GeekZone.

• Condenamos categóricamente el plagio, en cualquiera de sus formas.
Entiéndase como plagio apropiarse indebidamente de un contenido para hacerlo pasar como suyo, esto no solo incluye copiar y pegar (clonación), sino también el parafraseo de la información.

• No admitimos el abuso.
Evite el spam en la publicación de contenidos, así como el reciclaje de éstos.

• Todas las publicaciones, incluso aquellas que contengan vídeo, deben tener al menos 500 palabras de contenido escrito en un mismo idioma.
Queremos que sus escritos transmitan su emoción, su experiencia, su sentir, no se limiten.

• Para el contenido audiovisual recomendamos que utilicen la plataforma de 3speak; sin embargo, no es limitativo. Recuerde siempre apegarse a lo planteado en el punto anterior.

• No admitimos el Cross Post en primera instancia, salvo que su publicación haya sido compartida directamente en su blog. Si usted ya ha publicado en alguna otra comunidad de Hive, no haga Cross Post a Geek Zone.

• Usted puede compartir sus publicaciones, según su preferencia, en español y/o inglés.

• Nada de cryptojuegos. No tenemos nada en contra de ellos, solo queremos que el contenido de videojuegos este centrado en aquellos que no tienen una economía cripto. (Para ese tipo de juegos, hay otras comunidades).

• En cuanto a tópicos o nichos:

o   Unboxing y reviews de cualquier dispositivo y/o gadget tecnológico.
o   Montaje, mantenimiento y/o configuración de equipos (ordenadores, redes, telecomunicaciones, videojuegos, etc.).
o   Experiencias personales en el ámbito de la tecnología.
o   Visitas a tiendas o ferias de tecnología.
o   Noticias, tendencias y actualidad tecnológica.
o   Contenido gaming en general.

Cabe señalar, que el incumplimiento a lo antes mencionado será motivo de muteo (silencio/expulsión), temporal o definitivo, dentro de la comunidad. Apéguese a las normas.

It is a pleasure to greet you and thank you for choosing Geek Zone as your favorite technology zone within Hive. Your trust elevates our commitment to make Geek Zone a community where together we can fully live the passion for technology, so we must ensure that this space is the most enjoyable and reliable for everyone, making sure that the content published here meets the standards allowed within the platform. In this sense, in order to guarantee a space increasingly committed to quality and excellence, we have decided to establish new rules both for the creation of content and for healthy coexistence.

The implementation of rules, and their compliance, is essential in organized communities, and their permanence over time depends on it. Geek Zone was born to stay, with the purpose that we can all grow together and give feedback in the process, so we will announce the new rules of the community, and also share with you a lot of suggestions so that your effort is rewarded.

Before listing the rules, we will talk about the recommendations, pay close attention to the following assumptions:

Do you feel that your publications go unnoticed or do not generate the expected impact?

• In this regard it is necessary to review what kind of content you are sharing, take into consideration that the consumer of technological content seeks novelty, ingenuity, and originality; remember that the Internet is full of this type of content, so you should make sure that yours makes a difference. Be original, speak from your experience and knowledge, use natural language that is understandable and entertaining.

• Define titles that attract the reader's attention. Avoid extremely long titles, write them in one language, no translation is necessary, if your publication is bilingual you can put at the end of the title (en-es).

• Choose preferably your own images/photographs, of your authorship; but if it is not possible, then use only those that are free to use without copyrights, we recommend the following image banks: pixabay.com, pexels.com, unsplash.com, pxhere.com. Avoid referring to commercial sources that call into question the free use of the content. Always cite sources, even if they are your own.

My publications are no longer valued as they used to be.

• It never hurts to remember that this is a social network, so social interaction is vital. We have noticed that some users post their content, and disappear, do not consume content shared by other members of the community, do not comment, do not even respond to comments on their own posts. Understand that implementing social activity has a double effect, on the one hand, it stimulates your peers to continue creating content to suit their tastes, and on the other hand, it makes you known within the community. It's a win-win.

• Make sure that the content shared effectively corresponds to technology and its niches, if not, you should know that there are many specific communities within Hive where your publication will be better valued.

These recommendations and/or suggestions are for your benefit, we want your effort to be rewarded, that your experience is satisfactory and pleasant. We know that the aspects mentioned above are considered by the vast majority of curators who represent a project within Hive, our intention is that each of you take advantage of this information.

Now, let's talk about the rules and/or norms to make life inside GeekZone.

• **We categorically condemn plagiarism in any form. **
Plagiarism is understood as misappropriating content to pass it off as your own, this includes not only copying and pasting (cloning), but also paraphrasing information.

• We do not allow abuse.
Avoid spamming in the publication of content, as well as the recycling of content.

• All posts, including those containing video, must have at least 500 words of written content in the same language.
We want your writing to convey your emotion, your experience, your feelings, do not limit yourself.

• For audiovisual content we recommend that you use the 3speak platform; however, this is not limiting. Remember to always adhere to what is stated in the previous point.

• We do not accept Cross Post in the first instance, unless your publication has been shared directly on your blog. If you have already posted on any other Hive community, do not Cross Post to Geek Zone.

• You can share your posts, according to your preference, in English and/or Spanish.

• No cryptogames. We have nothing wrong with them, we just want the video game content to be focused on those who don't have a crypto economy. (For that kind of games, there are other communities).

• As for topics or niches:

o   Unboxing and reviews of any device and/or technological gadget.
o   Assembly, maintenance and/or configuration of equipment (computers, networks, telecommunications, video games, etc.).
o   Personal experiences in the field of technology.
o   Visits to technology stores or fairs.
o   News, trends and technology news.
o   Gaming content in general.

It should be noted that failure to comply with the above will be grounds for temporary or permanent mute (silence/expulsion) within the community. Adhere to the rules.
