Hola mis queridos #geekamigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien y esten disfrutando de estas fiestas tanto como yo lo estoy haciendo. Esta publicación viene acompañada de algunas reflexiones porque enestos tiempos navideños, se consume más energía y por la tanto la electricidad puede ser deficiente, por lo que se necesita una protección extra para nuestros equipos y así puedan durar más en perfecto funcionamiento.
Yo soy extra cuidadora porque imaginense ustedes _no estamos para andar sustituyendo los equipos a cada rato_ y los que tenemos, pues debemos garantizar el máximo rendimiento de ellos y así poder usarlos por mucho tiempo. A cada rato se escuchan testimonios como _se me quemó el aire_, _la nevera se dañó_, _el tv no quiere prender_ y así sucesivamente, para evitar esto, yo les compro protectores pero ¿Cuál será el mejor?, ¿Qué consejos puedo dar para el mejor protector?, Bueno según mi experiencia esto es lo que le puedo decir:
Marca. Lo primero que tomo en cuenta es esto, no por vanidad sino por el reconocimiento en el mercado y las referencias de que son productos de calidad. Siempre acostumbro a comprar Exceline o Lumistar, que son reocnocidos a nivel nacional. En una oportunidad compré uno marca, Spectrum y ya les hablaré más adelante de la experiencia negativa con este dispositivo.
Normas internacionales. Esto está ligado al primer punto, porque una marca reconocida debe ser porque esta sujeta a las normas internacionales de funcionamiento de los protectores de voltaje. En este caso, mis protectores se amparan en las normas ISO 9001, que son normas reconocidas y avalan su buen funcionamiento.
Branding. The first thing I take into account is this, not out of vanity but because of the recognition in the market and the references that they are quality products. I always buy Exceline or Lumistar, which are well known nationally. I once bought one brand, Spectrum, and I will tell you more about the negative experience with this device later.
International standards. This is linked to the first point, because a well-known brand must be subject to international standards of operation of surge protectors. In this case, my surge protectors are covered by ISO 9001 standards, which are recognised standards and guarantee their proper functioning.
Funciones del protector. Antes se estilaban que solo se conectaban y ya, ahora en este caso dice especificamente para que aparato sirve; yo los compré para mi nevera, aire, tv, router y lavadora. En esto si debemos ser cuidadosos porque no es lo mismo un voltaje de nevera al de aire acondicionado. de este punto se desprende el siguiente:
Voltaje. Debe especificar si es 220 o 110 volt. Una sobrecarga o un uso indebido, puede quemar el equipo. Todos mis protectores tienen específicado tanto en el empaque como en su aparato para que voltaje funcionan.
Functions of the protector. Before they were used to be just connected and that was it, now in this case it says specifically for which appliance it is used; I bought them for my fridge, air conditioner, TV, router and washing machine. In this case we must be careful because it is not the same voltage for a fridge as for an air conditioner:
Voltage. You must specify whether it is 220 or 110 volt. An overload or an improper use, can burn the equipment. All my protectors have specified both in the packaging and in your device for what voltage they work.
La protección con la que cuenta. La fluctuación de la electricidad (el sube y baja de la luz) son las cosas que dañan el equipo porque deben trabajar más. Por eso es importante para mí que los protectores protejan del alto y bajo voltaje, ellos tienen sus nombres específicos también, pero es bueno que también la caja lo diga.
La garantía. En mi país esto no se aplica mucho; lamentablemente no es como los EEUU que simplemente llevas el producto y nadie te pregunt nada sino que te lo cambian y ya. Aquí debes llevar la factura del equipo, en nombre de quien lo fabricó, si aguien te lo regaló la prueba que fue así, además de la medición de la NASA del momento que la electricidad ocasionó que el equipo se dañara 🙃🙃🙃. Es decir, unos requisitos bien absurdos.
Sin embargo, es bueno saber que al menos la tienda te da seis meses de garantía y sino, la caja te especifica que tienes tres años de funcionamiento y protección; para ello debes guardar la caja y no haberle ocasionado ninguna alteración.
Esto de verdad no he tenido que usarlo, porque cada vez que los compro sé que van a funcionar perfectamente y van a proteger mis equipos hasta por más tiempo.
De hecho una de mis anécdotas es que pensé que una vez estaba fallando el del aire acondicionado y resulta que es que tiene un sistema para quedarse apagado cuando la luz baja y sube rápidamente, así que no hizo falta su sustitución.

Warranty. In my country this doesn't apply much; unfortunately it's not like in the USA where you just bring the product and nobody asks you anything, they just change it and that's it. Here you have to bring the invoice of the equipment, in the name of who manufactured it, if someone gave it to you as a gift the proof that it was so, as well as the NASA measurement of the moment that the electricity caused the equipment to be damaged 🙃🙃🙃🙃. In other words, some pretty absurd requirements.
However, it's good to know that at least the shop gives you a six-month guarantee and if not, the box specifies that you have three years of operation and protection; for this you have to keep the box and not have caused any alteration to it.
I really haven't had to use this, because every time I buy them I know that they will work perfectly and protect my equipment for even longer.
In fact, one of my anecdotes is that I thought the air conditioner was failing once and it turns out that it has a system to stay off when the light goes down and goes up quickly, so it didn't need to be replaced.
Perilla de ajuste de voltaje. A mí me gusta esta función porque yo lo coloco muy alto y allí lo dejo para que mis equipos no sufran. Existen personas que lo colocan en el mínimo y eso no es correcto, pero cada quien con su experiencia. Aunque mi hermano (que es electricista) me dice que a mi hogar no llegan completos los 220volt, asi que con mas razón lo tengo al máximo para cuando la energía baje, prefiero que se apague a que funcione "forzado"
Voltage adjustment knob. I like this function because I set it very high and leave it there so that my equipment doesn't suffer. There are people who set it to the minimum and that is not correct, but to each his own experience. Although my brother (who is an electrician) tells me that my home does not have full 220 volts, so I have it at maximum for when the power goes down, I prefer it to be turned off than to be "forced" to work.
Si hay algo negativo de ellos que es lo unico que le encuentro es su tamaño y diseño. Esto no me gusta porque en mi casa estan expuestos, entonces se ve la decoración normal y el cable con el aparato super grande allí pegado. Cómo me sale más costoso cambiar el diseño de los tomacorrientes, prefiero pedirle a los fabricantes que hagan unos más pequeños y decorativos para las personas como yo 🤣😂😅.
If there is one negative thing about them, which is the only thing I find negative, it is their size and design. I don't like this because in my house they are exposed, so you see the normal decoration and the cable with the super big appliance stuck in there. As it is more expensive for me to change the design of the sockets, I prefer to ask the manufacturers to make smaller and more decorative ones for people like me 🤣😂😅.
