Desde hace un poco más de 4 meses, tuve la suerte de actualizar mi computador, casi todos los componentes nuevos, conservando mi gráfica, esa que me había acompañado por mucho tiempo, mi fiel MSI 1060 de 3GB de VRAM, una excelente GPU, debo recalcar, pero hace poco esta murió, por lo que me quede sin GPU dedicada, solo contando con los gráficos integrados de mi procesador, aunque cuando decidí actualizar a esta plataforma lo hice pensando en el hecho de que este momento llegaría, ya que mi gráfica ya era bastante vieja y le di mucho uso.
Since a little more than 4 months ago, I was lucky enough to upgrade my computer, almost all new components, keeping my graphics, the one that had accompanied me for a long time, my faithful MSI 1060 3GB VRAM, an excellent GPU, I must emphasize, but recently this died, so I was left without dedicated GPU, only relying on the integrated graphics of my processor, although when I decided to upgrade to this platform I did it thinking about the fact that this moment would come, since my graphics was already quite old and I gave it a lot of use.
Había dejado a un lado los videojuegos por este motivo, pero hoy quise dedicarle unas cuantas horas a un juego que estaba completando, uno de mis favoritos, por su historia, gráficos y jugabilidad, si, Horizon Zero Dawn, como lo mencione en el título, pero antes de jugar, quise toquetear un poco los gráficos integrados y me fui a las bíos de mi tarjeta, allí me conseguí con una configuración bastante interesante.
I had left aside the video games for this reason, but today I wanted to dedicate a few hours to a game I was completing, one of my favorites, for its story, graphics and gameplay, yes, Horizon Zero Dawn, as I mentioned in the title, but before playing, I wanted to play a little bit the integrated graphics and I went to the bios of my card, there I got a pretty interesting configuration.
Los gráficos integrados del Ryzen vienen con 2GB de VRAM que se asignan de la memoria RAM, pero pude mover algunos ajustes y la BIOS me permitió asignar mucha más RAM, disponiendo de 16 GB me permití asignar 8 GB a la memoria de gráficos, luego de aceptar decidí hacer algunas pruebas de este juego, y aunque ya había hecho pruebas anteriormente, los nuevos resultados me dejaron sorprendido.
The Ryzen integrated graphics come with 2GB of VRAM which is allocated from the RAM, but I was able to move some settings around and the BIOS allowed me to allocate much more RAM, having 16GB I allowed myself to allocate 8GB to the graphics memory, after agreeing I decided to do some testing of this game, and although I had done testing before, the new results left me surprised.
La primera prueba de este maravilloso juego, con mi nueva configuración sin tarjeta dedicada quise hacerlos intentando exprimir todo, así que puse todos los gráficos al máximo con una resolución de 1080, de esta forma realizar la prueba de rendimiento y así darme cuenta cuál era la mejor y la que me daría una mejor experiencia de juego y, aunque pude realizar la prueba con esta calidad gráfica, la cantidad de FPS de media estaban por debajo de los 30, jugable, pero en ciertos puntos tenía caídas considerables y las cargas de textura por alguna razón se tardaban más de lo normal.

La siguiente prueba la ejecute bajando la resolución un poco, pero conservando la calidad gráfica en Ultra, al bajar la resolución tuve una ganancia de unos cuantos FPS, superando la barrera de los 30 y el juego estaba mucho más fluido y las caídas de frames era imperceptibles, pero aún quería hacer una última prueba.

Baje la resolución a 720, creo que muy bajo para mi monitor, pero decidí conservar los gráficos en máximo, esta prueba me decepciono mucho, aunque la ganancia de FPS era muy buena, los detalles gráficos aun con todo al máximo se apreciaban muy pobres, por alguna razón que desconozco.
I lowered the resolution to 720, I think it was too low for my monitor, but I decided to keep the graphics at maximum, this test disappointed me a lot, although the FPS gain was very good, the graphic details even with everything at maximum were very poor, for some reason that I don't know.
Ya con mis tres pruebas hechas decidí volver a mi resolución de 1080 y los gráficos le dejé la opción de predeterminados, esta opción se supone que elige la configuración recomendada según tu hardware, esta la puso en original y, decidí realizar una última prueba de rendimiento, esta última lleno mis expectativas, con unos frames por segundo muy estables, superando los 30 y el apartado visual se veía muy bien, quizás no en ultra pero impecables.
Already with my three tests done I decided to return to my resolution of 1080 and the graphics I left the default option, this option is supposed to choose the recommended configuration according to your hardware, this put it in original and, I decided to perform a final performance test, the latter filled my expectations, with very stable frames per second, exceeding 30 and the visual section looked very good, maybe not in ultra but impeccable.
Luego de terminar las pruebas decidí volver a probar el juego, pero esta vez no en una prueba, sino yo al mando, como resultado, las impresiones me dejaron un buen sabor de boca, pude disfrutar el juego, creo que tan bien como cuando lo hacía con la GPU dedicada y no tuve perdida de frames, o malas cargas de texturas ni mucho menos ralentizaciones, una experiencia de juego excelente.
After finishing the tests I decided to test the game again, but this time not in a test, but me at the controller, as a result, the impressions left a good taste in my mouth, I could enjoy the game, I think as well as when I did it with the dedicated GPU and I had no loss of frames, or bad loads of textures or much less slowdowns, an excellent gaming experience.
En resumen, fue buena mi compra de este procesador, pues considero que supero todas mis expectativas, aun cuando había visto videos donde mostraban pruebas de juegos solo con la integrada y se veían bien, hacer mis propias pruebas me dejaron claro, que la inversión, fue buena, aunque un poco elevado el costo del procesador en relación con la competencia de la misma generación, mi decisión fue la acertada.
In summary, my purchase of this processor was good, because I consider that it exceeded all my expectations, even when I had seen videos where they showed tests of games only with the integrated one and they looked good, doing my own tests made me clear that the investment was good, although the cost of the processor was a little high in relation to the competition of the same generation, my decision was the right one.
