Estoy seguro que a mas de uno le pasó, quedarse trabado en una liga en League of Legends es una experiencia frustrante, y yo no fui la excepción. Durante más de un año estuve estancado en Oro I, sin poder avanzar a pesar de sentir que tenía el nivel necesario. En ese momento jugaba principalmente mid con campeones como Le Blanc y Orianna, además de jungla con Jarvan IV y Volibear. Pero, por alguna razón, no lograba salir de Oro. Las derrotas me pesaban más de lo normal, y el miedo a perder se convirtió en una barrera mental que me impedía avanzar.
A pesar de tener buenas mecánicas y conocimiento estratégico, sentía que no podía superar esa barrera. Fue entonces cuando decidí cambiar mi enfoque. Probé otras líneas, entre ellas adc, pero no me gustaba. Finalmente, me dediqué a jugar soporte y comencé a usar Bardo. Con él logré llegar a Platino III al final de esa temporada. Sin embargo, al empezar la nueva temporada, el sistema me dejó en Oro IV, y el desafío comenzó de nuevo.
Al regresar a Oro, volví a jugar con Bardo y, después de mucho esfuerzo, logré subir nuevamente hasta Platino. Pero a medida que las partidas se volvían más complicadas, empecé a sentir que Bardo no me daba las herramientas necesarias para seguir avanzando. Tras varios intentos frustrados de ganar, decidí hacer un cambio importante: comencé a jugar con Nautilus.
Este fue el punto de quiebre. Con Nautilus, todo comenzó a fluir de manera más natural. Su capacidad para controlar el mapa e iniciar peleas de equipo me permitió ser más efectivo en las partidas. Poco a poco, empecé a ganar con más consistencia, y para fin de año, había logrado escalar desde Oro IV hasta Diamante III. Fue un logro increíble para mí, sobre todo porque lo conseguí jugando soporte, un rol que en ese entonces (y pienso que hasta el día de hoy) no recibía tanto reconocimiento.
Lo más gratificante fue que llegué a Diamante III jugando solo. Solo en ese momento decidí jugar duo con un amigo, y aunque jugué unas pocas partidas, la mayoría del recorrido lo hice en solitario. Llegué a estar en promoción para Diamante II, pero nunca llegué a jugarla. Aun así, el hecho de haber superado esa barrera mental y haber alcanzado Diamante III como soporte, específicamente con Nautilus, fue una de las mejores sensaciones que experimenté en el juego.
Este logro me enseñó que, a veces, lo único que se necesita es perseverancia, un cambio de estrategia y la valentía de probar algo diferente.

I'm sure it happened to more than one of you, getting stuck in a league in League of Legends is a frustrating experience, and I was no exception. For more than a year I was stuck in Gold I, unable to advance even though I felt I had the necessary level. Upon returning to Gold, I went back to playing with Bard and, after a lot of effort, I managed to climb back up to Platinum. But as the games became more complicated, I began to feel that Bardo was not giving me the tools I needed to continue advancing. After several unsuccessful attempts to win, I decided to make an important change: I started playing with Nautilus.
This was the breaking point. With Nautilus, everything started to flow more naturally. His ability to control the map and initiate team fights allowed me to be more effective in games. Little by little, I started winning more consistently, and by the end of the year, I had managed to climb from Gold IV to Diamond III. It was an incredible achievement for me, especially because I achieved it by playing support, a role that at that time (and I think to this day) did not receive as much recognition.
The most gratifying thing was that I reached Diamond III playing alone. It was only at that time that I decided to play duo with a friend, and although I played a few games, most of the way through I played solo. I was even in promotion for Diamond II, but I never got to play it. Still, overcoming that mental barrier and reaching Diamond III as a support, specifically with Nautilus, was one of the best feelings I experienced in the game.
This achievement taught me that sometimes all you need is perseverance, a change of strategy and the courage to try something different.
