BIRDS of MANY FEATHERS FLOCK TOGETHER.

Knowing that warmer weather was only 1,356 miles away, Mother Nature's blistery send off was all the motivation I needed to put the pedal to the metal.

Before we knew it we were in Timmonsville, South Carolina. Having traveled 556 miles the day before, we got up early the following day ready to put another leg of our journey behind us.

Now, one of the best things about heading south is the fact that Waffle Houses are all over the place. By 10:00 o'clock that morning it was time to chow down, not too the degree of going into a #foodcoma, just a bite to eat.

Behind the Waffle House that had been calling our name, this beautiful Estuary provided us with a very active and beautiful backdrop, as we I devoured some breakfast.

This Great White Egret hung around for a while, and didn't seem to concerned with our presence.

The other birds swimming around in this picture look very familiar, I believe they are Canadian Geese.

The birds at the bottom of this picture are Double-crested Cormorant, also known as river rats.

Here are a couple of photo I took last year, while in Florida, of
a Double-crested Cormorant.

After standing around for a while, watching us enjoy our breakfast, the White Egret got busy looking for some breakfast.
I wonder if he likes the Waffle House menu?

This Great Blue Heron blended in perfectly with the weathered, dead tree.

The weather sure is a little sunnier and warmer in this neck of the woods. 😁
