Here are a few spring birds for this #featheredfriday by @melinda010100
The red-winged blackbirds are back in town and they are already staking their territory.
They are constantly chortling in the spring announcing their territory to the other males.
They are good posers and like to pose for the camera unlike the females that hide in the reeds on the edge of the lake.
I also saw another familiar sight. A song sparrow.
Just wait a while and they will belt out a nice intricate song.
The downy woodpeckers were also out.
This is a female as she has no red feathers on her head.
Sadly the male was high up in the trees hidden by the branches.
The cardinals are out making their laser beam shooting sounds.
They have an uncanny knack of seeing me with my camera then they fly off into the branches so I can't get a clear shot. Take that human no clear shots for you.
