Feathered Friday - Spring SIghtings

Here are a few #featheredfriday sightings

I first noticed a little downy woodpecker looking for worms in an old rotted log.

This one must be a female as it has no red spot on the back of its head.

I wonder what it will find on this tiny little tree?

The robins are more active too even though it seems like they never even left this winter.

They are starting to look nice and bright orange now. Just in time for starting new families.

The bluebirds are claiming their boxes as well. They have to get to them before the tree swallows arrive.

I even saw a warbler of some kind. You can barely see the yellow on its wings. I thought it might be a yellow rumped warbler but the breast pattern looks different. Maybe it still has winter coloring and it will turn into a yellow warbler.

Now for a tiny little nest, perhaps it is a gray gnatcatcher nest.

Chippy was chirping in a funny way and I thought it was a bird foraging on the ground. Now he will be fodder for a #squirrelsunday post.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
