πŸ¦‰ The common chaffinch or simply the chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs)

πŸ“š fringilla (lat.) - finch; fi nco (Old German), fi nc (Old English)
caelebs, coelebs (lat.) - single, idle, unmarried

I once mentioned that chaffinches are rather cocky and pugnacious birds. And they attack anyone who encroaches on their territory. And so, I witnessed another skirmish. This time he attacked greenfinches.

πŸ¦‰ The European greenfinch or simply the greenfinch (Chloris chloris)

πŸ“š Chloris khlōros (Greek) green; yellow

These beautiful birds, male and female, simply flew around the cemetery, examining the branches for the presence of seeds left after winter.
And then suddenly the chaffinch flew out from somewhere from the top of the tree and tried to attack the male.
By the way, greenfinches are also pretty cocky, and if they arrive at the feeding trough, they won't let anyone else go there, they fight. But this time the victory was for the chaffinch.
