š¦ The common starling or European starling (Sturnus vulgaris)
š Sturnus lat.: sturnus starling, sturninus speckled, spotted
š vulgaris (lat.) well-known, ordinary
The plumage of this bird is very beautiful, iridescent in the light, it is difficult to confuse it with any other bird. Looking closely, you can see multi-colored, purple, blue and greenish tints in the plumage. And with the advent of autumn, their plumage changes, and becomes in many small spots similar to hearts.
Despite the fact that these birds are very famous, they are not often seen in my city.
I meet them primarily in the spring, and in the second half of the summer.
These photos were taken in May. In the meadows outside the city, I met these birds. There were four of them. They walked the earth looking for their favorite food - worms or greasy caterpillars.
