š¦ The black kite (Milvus migrans)
š Milvus (lat) - kite
š migrans (lat.) - migrating
Judging by the integrity of the feathers on the wings, this is still a young kite. After all, adult birds are very often chased by other birds. For example, various types of thrushes , they are very aggressive towards them and always attack. Kites are also attacked by corvids, especially hooded crows, and eurasian hobby. And once I saw a little skinny tiny little wagtail attacking a kite.
They arrive in Siberia, as a rule, in early April, depending on the weather. Already on April 2 or 4, they can be seen in the forests or on the river. And migration to warm countries occurs at the beginning of September. Older experienced birds can stay until mid-September.
