SMaP 143 - Short-Legged Birds

Thank you dear @nelinoeva for the competition.
You can read the announcement and rules here.

This week's topic is Short-legged Birds.

If with long-legged birds everything is quite simple, they are mostly water birds, then with short-legged birds everything is more complicated. I remembered and looked through my photos and chose the shortest ones in my opinion.

Nuthatch
He doesn't need long legs, he needs strong legs and tenacious claws on them.

Treecreeper
The same applies to this bird. Like a nuthatch, it moves along the bark of a tree.

Lesser Spotted Woodpecker
And in general, all woodpeckers have short legs. By the way, have you noticed that all short-legged birds climb trees vertically?

Kingfisher
Another shorty. He has bright carrot-colored legs. He also doesn’t need long legs; he doesn’t move on the ground, along branches and trees. It sits firmly on individual branches of bushes near the water and hunts fish.

Sand Martin
And these birds also have short legs. They spend almost their entire lives flying.

I know another short-legged bird, this is the nightjar. But unfortunately I haven't met them yet
