Thanks to @nelinoeva for the next competition. This week's topic is - THE BIRD YOU WANT TO BE.

The Eurasian nuthatch or wood nuthatch (Sitta europaea)

If I wanted to become a bird, it would be a nuthatch. These guys are amazing birds.

Each of us, at least once, but dreamed of becoming a bird in order to freely fly through the sky, through forests and cities, to move freely. And the nuthatch, in addition to flight, has one more feature. Thanks to their tenacious claws, they are able to move through trees in any direction. And from bottom to top, and diagonally, and upside down. And they do it very quickly.

I am the kind of person that I always think ahead, always calculate everything in advance and create backup plans. Nuthatches do the same. If they are not hungry, then they store food, hiding them in folds of bark, crevices, and so on.

And if suddenly it turns out that there is absolutely nothing to eat, then they remember these reserves and therefore never suffer from hunger, which allows them to survive in winter.

Nuthatches are also gullible and friendly. They participate in mixed flocks of birds during the autumn-winter wanderings.

And by the way, stocks hidden by nuthatches help the rest of the birds to survive. Nuthatch is a true friend and helper!
