show me a photo (of a bird) - bird and a flower

The thrush is having a relaxation moment in a thicket of thyme. Or maybe it is on duty, maybe it is no way a relax, but a non-stop search for daily meal? ..

There are other visitors (a lot!) in this place of attraction, so one have to have eyes and watch his back - or he will become somebody's dinner.

Sadly, I dont have any double takes. As I stepped forward to take a more close-up shot -- the birdie decided I may have the same intentions (i.e. consider him as a meal, hehe) and was off in a fraction of a second... even the telephoto lens was not a big help. Well, again - I dont have a 500-600mm, and 300 mm is not enough when the birdies are shy.

This photo goes for 'Show me your photo (of a bird)' contest, round #29. Week's topic was 'Bird and Flower'. But probably this photo would be better titled as 'flower and bird'?..

I am adding a few more captures to the post.

Pigeon's feeding as a bonus. Birds feeding (which we performed a lot this spring with my daughter) is a source of numerous photos. Most of them are so-so, but sometimes this bring out gems like this.

Look at the face of the pigeon on the left. He's a real maniac about food!
