My post is for SMAP#90 contest, hosted by @nelinoeva.

I missed a lot of great weekly topics, and my today's post will cover several different topics at once: bird's butt (lol), preening, birds in action ... you name it.

A few days ago, my dad and I went for a walk, and then we went to the grocery store, where I met this flock of sparrows. Sparrows are certainly not so picturesque and spectacular birds as some others, but !!! The main advantage of these photographs I took, is that not a single bird (except of pigeons, of course) has ever let me get so close.

The sparrows were sitting on a fence next to the entrance to the store, people who feed them often rest on the bench - probably, these slightly "domesticated" sparrows are used to getting only good things from people, and they were not afraid of me at all, and let me very close. Of course, none of them sat on my arm. But they moved all the time, jumping from place to place, spinning, and changing various positions. See pictures!
