Obviously my favorite bird first.

The famous Malachite Sunbird was sitting on a Protea flower bud.

So the first three photos are of the Malachite and his wife and then I also have some other lovely birds in here.
We have some amazingly warm days now in winter and it gives us a lot of opportunities to pop into places on our way somewhere. I know that some birds might be there, as I also know the kind of flowers that the birds like.
So come and have a look.

Not often that you can find the male and his wife dining together.

This Cape Robin Chat (Cossypha caffra) made a flamboyant turn as he took off.

And for spite he gave me an "up-yours man" :)

And then the weather started to change.

What? A Fork-tail Drongo (Dicrurus adsimilis)caught a Dragonfly. In winter? We don't have dragonflies in winter as they only emerge at the start of the spring season.

Maybe the dragonflies are as confused as we are about the strange winter weather. I have even seen some trees starting to bud and this is way too early as spring only starts in September. The warm days must be confusing the trees as well. Even the flamingos did not stay and although the lake where they breed is now filled with water, the flamingos are nowhere to be seen. This is not a good message and I think that we can prepare for more destructive floods and landslides when summer arrives.
In any case I hope that you liked the bird photos.

And That's All Friends.
