Moorhen hides in the thickets of reed mace

DSC00184-2.jpg

This year it is very difficult to see the moorhen here. I used to know several places where you could see these birds.
But this year, not far from these places, construction is underway and apparently the noise of technology and the constant presence of people frightened them. They apparently decided to move to a quieter place.
They were not in this place before and they appeared there rather late. Apparently they came from another place.
There is a small family there. Two adults and two small chicks.
Judging by the time, the chicks should be already large. But these birds are not very old yet. Apparently they appeared rather late.
This is a very comfortable place. Near the coast there are dense thickets of reeds and cattails. They have a place to hide. The feed is apparently also missing. The place is quiet, people rarely come here.
I knew this place because a turtle used to live here. I often came here to look at her.
The warblers themselves are very fearful by nature. It is rather difficult to get close to them. But if you stand still, then they themselves can swim quite close. The main thing is not to let them get scared. Otherwise, they will be hammered into the thickets and will not come out of there soon.
I always use this method. True, you have to waste a lot of time, but you can almost always take good pictures.

If you look closely at the tone of this photo to the right of the moorhen, you can see a small chick that is hiding behind its mother all the time.
I've been waiting for a very long time. I hoped that the chick would come out of the thickets, but did not wait. Apparently my mother didn’t let him.
