One very, very thirsty seagull

There is this thing, sort of fountain in our local park. It is ugly and vandals managed to destroy some part of it, but birds love it and it is ideal place for the seagulls, pigeons and jackdaws to quench their thirst. You may remember seeing some photos of this fountain and birds in my previous posts. Every time I see a bird there I know I could have some interesting shots. Recently the seagull spent few minutes drinking water allowing me to shoot substantial number of photos.

What I did not expect was these reflections of light in the water. I wanted to freeze the moment and see what kind of figures the water would make, but the colour was not intended.

Oh, look at this glance, the seagull is giving me evils among the splashes.

To drink or not to drink, that is the question.

I like how I got these droplets and let's do a little more cropping.

It is such a joy for both of us.

One more splash, see how the bird shakes the head and the water forms another sculpture.

The water is like a gem stone, or stones scattered in the air.

The seagull shortly after that was gone. It was a very good model. Big birds are so much easy to photograph 😉.
