Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 68

Hello Feathered Friends Lovers,

Welcome to #SMaP Show Me A Photo Contest Round 68!

After this spectacular week full with beautiful male birds, next week will be dedicated to the female birds. For those who follow the contest and know the rules, it will be enough that I will be expecting entries with photos of female birds. Those who are stumbling upon and this is the first time to submit their entries, please read carefully the post till the end. Any questions about the contest - feel free to ask. I will be happy to answer.

Now, back to the girls. Boys with their striking presence catch the eye and it is a real treat to watch them display their best plumage. Even better if you happened to watch them dancing or singing. Different species, different ways to show their quality. Female birds may lack all that glamour, but they have the last word and they will choose their mate carefully. So, it is a bit of a hard task for the boys. 😉

So, it is time to give some credit to the female birds.

And here it is the new theme:

And my examples of female birds are:

Syrian woodpecker - unlike the male, females have no red on their head, just black.

Siskin - the female lacks the striking yellow feathers and black cap.

Blackbird - the colour of the female is dark brown, while the male is black.

Now is your turn and let me see your photos of birds, but first read carefully the rules below⬇️

Show me your photo of a bird, following these rules:

  • The photo must be your own.
  • Post in the community Feathered Friends
  • You may add more photos, but you should state which one is your entry, otherwise the first will be taken into account.
  • Tell us something about your photo/s.
  • Your photo must follow the weekly theme.
  • Please put the link of your entry in the comment section of the contest post here.
  • Put in the title of your post that this is an entry for the contest. (Optional)
  • Use #smap as a tag.

Last, but not least - have fun!

If you create quality post with more images and interesting story about them, making extra effort can give you bigger upvotes and attract curators. Keep that in mind.
