Hi there,
How quickly we reach the end of the week. Today is Feathered Friday and I have prepared photos that I took in different days. You can recognize on some of them the birds I've already shown in previous posts, just the photos are different.
To start with the thirsty jackdaw, who was trying to reach the water defended by the pigeon. You may remember them from the Action photo round for #SMaP (Show Me A Photo Contest). So, here are more photos from that day.
Each time I pass by this fountain, there are always birds there. The water is scarce, it hardly rains and when it does, every puddle will be turned into a spa. ๐๐ฆ
Next photos I took near my office. There were a bunch of wagtails enjoying the water to refresh and get rid from the mites.
I love to watch birds in the water. Such fun.
Next photo is of a female shrike, a juvenile perhaps. From a distance it is easy to be decieved and I thought it was a sparrow.
While browsing through my photos I found this one - the nightingale. Oh, how I miss the songs of the nightingales. I have to wait till spring time for their return.
And the last photo is about the dove who chased the crow. When it comes to protect territory or nest, size does not matter. Small birds fiercely defend their offsprings or territories. I must admit this was the first time seeing dove in attack or chase mode.
And that's all for now.
Have a great weekend and happy birding!
Oh, and don't forget to check this week's contest in Feathered Friends Community. ๐
