¡Buenos días mis queridos Hivers! Hoy vengo a contarles de Filomeno, el gallo que llegó hace unos días a nuestra casa y estamos fascinados con su visita!
Podría decirse que hace un par de semanas que anda dando vueltas por la zona, ya lo habíamos visto paseando, pero creímos que era de algún vecino de acá cerca. Lo que nuestros gatos y el perro son muy buenos, lo dejaron entrar en el perímetro dentro de la casa, y estudiaron su comportamiento por unos días.
Empezó a quedarse a dormir. Una tarde lo vi sentado sobre una de mis plantas. Casi lo mato cuando lo vi. Asique decidimos hacerle un mini gallinero en la cucha del perro que todavía este duerme adentro de la casa, pues hay un par de noches frías todavía. Y bueno, se quedó en la casa del can suponemos que toda la noche y a la mañana siguiente...se puso a cantar! Igual les cuento que todo fue en vano, porque le encanta dormir arriba de una planta de Marihuana que está revegetando del año pasado. Podrán apreciar en las fotos y videos lo que les acabo de contar.
Nosotros en nuestra ignorancia al principio pensamos que era una gallina, le pusimos Clotilde y lo llamamos así por un tiempo hasta que una madrugada se puso a cantar junto con otros gallos del barrio y ahí nos pusimos a investigar bien qué animal era. Claro, en ese preciso momento cambió su nombre al actual Filomeno Patiño, se imaginan porqué tiene ese segundo nombre no?? Jajajaja
Good morning my dear Hivers! Today I come to tell you about Filomeno, the rooster that came to our house a few days ago and we are fascinated by his visit!
It could be said that he has been walking around the area for a couple of weeks, we had already seen him walking, but we thought it was from a neighbor near here. What our cats and the dog are very good at, they let him into the perimeter inside the house, and they studied his behavior for a few days.
He began to fall asleep. One afternoon I saw him sitting on one of my plants. I almost killed him when I saw him. So we decided to make a mini chicken coop for the dog that is still sleeping inside the house, as there are still a couple of cold nights. And well, he stayed in the dog's house, we suppose that all night and the next morning... he began to sing! Anyway, I tell you that it was all in vain, because he loves to sleep on top of a Marijuana plant that he is revegetating from last year. You will be able to appreciate in the photos and videos what I have just told you. The good thing is that he fertilizes the plant!
In our ignorance, at first we thought it was a hen, we called it Clotilde and we called it that for a while until one morning it began to sing along with other roosters in the neighborhood and there we began to investigate well what animal it was. Of course, at that precise moment he changed his name to the current Filomeno Patiño, can you imagine why he has that middle name, right? Hahaha
Resulta que Filomeno Patiño es un gallo de riña, es decir, lo hacían pelear con otros gallos y sus dueños se llevaron el dinero en peleas clandestinas, y eso explica porqué le faltan tantas plumas en la cola y en el cuello.
Sinceramente me da mucha impotencia saber que existen personas tan crueles con los animales. Creo en el Karma y Dharma y en que cada quien deberá dar explicaciones o pagar por sus actos hayan sido buenos o malos. Y ojalá que todos los que hayan lucrado a costa de criaturas inocentes algún día les toque pagar como se merecen.
¡Filomeno es un divino! No tiene maldad alguna con ningún animal de la casa, salvo por las hormigas y me hace un gran favor!! Come polenta, arroz, maíz, a veces le tiramos migas de pan, galletitas o de arepas y le encanta todo! Hasta entra a robarle la comida al perro y a los gatos jajaja es muy gracioso y es un almita pura. Nos gusta cuando nos mira y nos habla con su Cococo!! Filomeno estará sin dudas en nuestro corazón para siempre!!
It turns out that Filomeno Patiño is a fighting rooster, that is, they made him fight with other roosters and his owners took the money in clandestine fights, and that explains why he is missing so many feathers on his tail and neck.
Honestly, it makes me very helpless to know that there are people who are so cruel to animals. I believe in Karma and Dharma and that each person should give explanations or pay for his actions, whether they were good or bad. And I hope that all those who have profited at the expense of innocent creatures will one day have to pay as they deserve.
Filomeno is divine! He has no evil with any animal in the house, except for the ants and he does me a great favor !! He eats polenta, rice, corn, sometimes we throw him breadcrumbs, cookies or arepas and he loves everything! Even he comes in to steal food from the dog and the cats hahaha it's very funny and he's a pure soul. We like it when he looks at us and talks to us with his Cococo!! Filomeno will undoubtedly be in our hearts forever!!
Ahora estamos en búsqueda de un hogar para Filomeno, un lugar donde tenga otros plumíferos cerca y pueda interactuar con los de su especie en un lugar adecuado para él. Que haya gallinas y le den el alimento y el cuidado que se merece.
Sé que es una tarea ardua, pero tengo fe que vamos a lograr encontrarle la casa que él tanto se merece y con personas que le den el cariño que tanto le hace falta. Aunque aquí le damos nuestro amor incondicional a diario, sabemos que también hay animales que necesitan un cuidado especial como es su caso y que nosotros ignoramos y es por eso que queremos lo mejor para él.

Now we are in search of a home for Filomeno, a place where he has other feathers nearby and can interact with his kind in a place suitable for him. Let there be chickens and give it the food and care it deserves.
I know it is an arduous task, but I have faith that we will be able to find him the house that he deserves so much and with people who give him the love that he so much needs. Although here we give him our unconditional love on a daily basis, we know that there are also animals that need special care such as him and that we ignore and that is why we want the best for him.
