Hello dear bird-loving friends. Today I want to share with you these images I took of a little lovebird that is known as zebra dove because of its stripes in its plumage.
I saw this little friend by chance because although I highlighted her color in editing, she was almost unnoticeable on the branch where she was. I think she had a nest in the center where the branches of the palm tree are born, but unfortunately I was not able to take pictures of the nest.
Hola queridos amigos amantes de las aves. Hoy les quiero compartir estas imágenes que tomé a una pequeña Tortolita que es conocida como Tórtola Cebrita por sus rayas en el plumaje.
Esta pequeña amiguita la vi de casualidad pues aunque yo resalté su color en edición, ella casí ni se notaba en la rama donde estaba. Creo que tenía un nido en el centro donde nacen las ramas de la palmera, pero desafortunadamente no pude tomar fotos del nido.
Something curious and that I did not know, is that in this species of birds is difficult to differentiate at a glance the male from the female, because there is no sexual dimorphism as they are equal in size and plumage.
We can say that in this species there is equality of beauty, because unlike other species of birds, the males are the ones who inherit all the colorful plumage and therefore are the most beautiful.
Algo curioso y que yo no sabía, es que en esta especie de aves es difícil diferenciar a simple vista el macho de la hembra, porque no existe dimorfismo sexual ya que son iguales en tamaño y plumaje.
Podemos decir que en esta especie sí existe igualdad de belleza, porque a diferencia de otras especies de aves, los machos son los que heredan todos los plumajes coloridos por lo tanto son los más hermosos.
I am very fond of photographing birds, and every time I photograph a species I learn something new about them.
Soy muy amante de fotografiar las aves, y cada vez que fotografío una especie aprendo algo nuevo de ellas.
