El protagonista de mi publicación es conocido en mi isla como Tortolita escamosa o ave de los enamorados,es muy común verlo en mi comunidad ,en los árboles de guayacán o almendrón y en cactus .Es un ave pequeña ,el macho parece una paloma,es mas grande que la hembra.
The protagonist of my publication is known in my island as Tortolita escamosa or bird of lovers, it is very common to see it in my community, in the guayacán or almendrón trees and in cactus, it is a small bird, the male looks like a pigeon, it is bigger than the female.
Es muy hermoso,de color griz arena,tiene el pico negro,las patas rosadas ,pero lo mas llamativo que tiene son sus plumas las cuales presentan unos márgenes negros que les dan apariencia de escamas y que pueden apreciarse mejor a la luz del sol.
