Sikorka Czubatka - trochę nonszalancka, trochę wariatka

Titmouse as a species is quite popular bird. There are several species in my country, including the great tit, the blue tit and the gray tit, which can often be found even in cities.

Sikorka jako gatunek jest dość popularnym ptakiem. W moim kraju występuje kilka gatunków, miedzy innymi sikorka bogatka, sikorka modraszka czy sikorka siwa, które często można spotkać nawet w miastach.

Crested tit is a species found in Poland much less frequently. When you look at it, you get the impression that it is a slightly crazy bird, with the wind in its feathers, a troublemaker - this is what adds to its charm. It looks very different from the popular tit because it does not have this colored plumage, but it does have one beautiful feature. It is a feather tip on top of the head. The female and the male look the same.

Sikorka czubatka jest gatunkiem spotykanym w Polsce dużo rzadziej. Gdy się na nią spojrzy odnosi się wrażenie, że to lekko szalony ptak, z wiatrem w piórach, rozrabiaka - to właśnie dodaje jej uroku. Wyglądem różni się znacznie od popularnych sikorek, ponieważ nie ma ta kolorowego upierzenia, ale ma za to jedną przepiękną cechę. Jest nią czubek z piór na górze głowy. Samica i samiec wyglądaj identycznie.

Titmouse's body length does not exceed 12 cm. Most of the body does not stand out in color, it is gray-brown gray-white. Only the top of the head makes the bird distinctive.

Długość ciała sikorki czubatki nie przekracza 12 cm. Większość ciała nie wyróżnia się kolorystycznie jest szarobrązowa szaro-biała. Jedynie czubek głowy powoduje, że ptaszek jest charakterystyczny.

Food Crested tit consists mainly of insects, larvae and spiders. They are agile enough to catch insects on the fly. They also like to use man-made feeders and feed on plant foods, oilseeds. They also love seeds from pine cones.

Pożywienie Sikorki czubatki stanowią głównie owady, larwy, pająki. Są na tyle sprawne, że potrafią łapać owady w locie. Lubią również korzystać z karmników budowanych przez ludzi i odżywiać się na pokarmem roślinnym, nasionami oleistymi. Uwielbiają również nasiona z szyszek sosny.

Usually it nests in a low hollow in a tree, often it is a rotten trunk. The interior is made of moss and grass, and is lined with densely intertwined hair and wool.

Gniazda zakłada zazwyczaj w nisko umieszczonej dziupli w drzewie, często jest to spróchniały pień. Wnętrze zbudowane jest z mchu i traw i wyścielone gęsto splecioną sierścią i wełną.

Crested tit lays eggs twice a year if conditions are favorable. In the nest there are a maximum of 7 glossy, rusty spotted eggs, and the incubation period lasts about 14 days. They are fed by male and female. After about 3 weeks, the young leave the nest and become independent, but it happens that the grown chick is often fed outside the nest.

Sikorka czubatka, jeśli warunki są korzystne, składa jaja dwa razy w roku. W gnieździe jest maksymalnie 7 połyskujących, rdzawo nakrapianych jaj, a okres ich wysiadywania trwa około 14 dni. Karmią je samiec i samica. Po mniej więcej 3 tygodniach młode opuszczają gniazdo i stają się samodzielne, ale zdarza się, że wyrośnięty pisklak często jest jeszcze dokarmiany poza gniazdem.

Crested tit is difficult to spot because it lives in dense pine and spruce forests. It also happens to live in deciduous forests. In Poland, it occurs throughout the country. It makes a distinctive sound that sounds more or less like "gjurrr".

Sikorkę czubatkę trudno wypatrzyć, gdyż mieszka w zwartych borach sosnowych i świerkowych. Zdarza się również, że mieszka w lasach liściastych. W Polsce występuje na terenie całego kraju. Wydaje charakterystyczny dźwięk który brzmi mniej więcej jak „gjurrr”.
