My entry - Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 49
Every spring I start to follow a new family of wagtails, which necessarily settle in the yard of our country house. Usually they are very elegant and neat birds, but last summer a rather disheveled person appeared among them, who caused a smile with her appearance. No matter how she preened, her hairstyle remained the same.
Once I managed to photograph her usual morning washing, which she accompanied with periodic singing, now and then distracted from laying feathers.
Her unsightly appearance did not prevent her from finding a mate and raising her offspring.
