Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo - THE TAIL

Good afternoon, everyone!
My entry for Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 38 from @nelinoeva

The theme for this round is "Tails.
One of the characteristics of birds is the ability to fly. This requires a bird to have wings and a tail!
I was on the shore watching the seagulls. I was catching the moment when there was a flap of a bird's wings. A young gull learning to fly. But now I have to find the tails!

I found a flock of "tails."
All the birds were showing me their tails.šŸ˜€

Why does a bird need a tail?šŸ¤” The tail of the bird is like a rudder, the tail turns in any desired direction. On takeoff, the tail serves as an additional plane for lift.

The tail is like a ballast. The wind blew, but the birds knew where to turn the tail.
