I was out with the family today been Easter Sunday we decided on going to Centennial Park which is one of Sydney's biggest parks with an area of 189 hectors in the central business area of the city of Sydney. Here you can picnic, horse ride, cycle or simply take a walk and do some bird watching as i did after our big Easter lunch.
As there are many different types of birds in this large park, i was not equipped with any fancy camera gear to enable me to capture all these beautiful bird species that were flying around the park but there were lots of black Crows around and these seem to be a lot easier to capture on camera as they are not afraid to get closer to you to scavenge some food of you and this was perfect as i needed photos of birds in black for this round of #featheredfriends
Crows are a very intelligent bird and come in many different species like about 120 species and even though they are known as the Crow family they do go by other names depending what part of the world they are from like the New Caledonian Crow native to New Caledonia and the American Crow native to America and etc....
The other species are the Jackdaws, Rooks,Ravens, Cape Crow, New Zealand Crow which make up over a third of the entire family and the way they distinguish these different species of the Crow family is by there larger bill, tail shape and flight pattern. An Crow's lifespan can vary depending on the species like a common Raven can have a lifespan of up to 10-15 years, an American Crow lifespan from 7-8 years and an Australian raven up to 22 years maybe because they get feed better quality sausages and chops from our left over Aussie barbecue's. 😄
