Feathered Friends - Pelicans on Labrador Beach !!

While walking along Labrador Beach on the Gold Coast of Queensland i noticed this huge flock of birds from a distance i couldn't tell if they were Swans or Pelican's till , i got closer then i was able to confirm that these were indeed a flock of Pelican birds and the story behind why this flock of Pelican's are seen here every day is that years ago the owner of the seafood restaurant by the beach threw out some fish offcuts and must have thrown some to a couple of pelicans hanging about so it wasn't long before the word got out and many more Pelicans starting turning up for the free food. They actually all live just across the beach at a Lagoon called Ian Dipple Lagoon but they seem to know when lunch is been served and they all make there way across the beach and landing at the rear of Charis Seafood Restaurant today it has become a major attraction for tourist who come by to see these huge beautiful Pelicans been feed by the owner of the restaurant making it a very photogenic site and fun for the kids.

This flock of Seagulls and black-grayish birds with the longer beak not sure what type of birds these black-grayish birds were , which i saw amongst the Seagulls , i spotted them on a Californian beach while on vacation in America they seemed to be having a great feast on these little baby fish that we been washed in by the currents of the sea.
