Feathered Friends - SMaP #54 | Birds with Fish

Hello Feathered Friends Lovers,

I watched a distressed great blue heron repeatedly attack a stingray with its beak while walking on the beach. Fascinated, I got out my camera and documented the fight, which lasted nearly an hour and ended with the bird devouring the injured bloody fish.

I'm saddened by the circumstance in which the hunt has found itself, and the idea that it's happening astounds me.

Nonetheless, I'm grateful for the opportunity to capture those memories.

Over the next few months, I snapped a few more bird shots. Here are some of the eerie bird hunting photos:

Patience and tranquility are required while seeing birds in such detail. To avoid frightening the birds, I try to approach them cautiously.

Kingfishers, on the other hand, chase lizards and snakes so fast that they have to rely on their wings to stay afloat.

Thank you for reading this and taking the time to do so. Without exception, all photos and videos in my blogs and Instagram stories were taken by myself, unless otherwise noted.
