When I was in Edinburgh, resting in the green part of it, I saw beautiful, large seagulls in the Princess Street Gardens. These were huge birds with yellow legs and a yellow beak, as well as white-gray-black feathers. I identified them as Lesser Black-backed Gulls (Larus fuscus) .
Gdy byłam w Edynburgu i odpoczywałam w zielonej jego części, na terenie Princess Street Gardens zobaczyłam piękne, duże mewy. To były ogromne ptaki o żółtych kończynach i żółtym dziobie, a także biało-szary-czarnym kolorze piór. Zidentyfikowałam je jako mewy żółtonogie.
I like watching birds fly, and here they flew in a wonderful space, with a monumental castle behind them and huge areas covered with trees. A green enclave in the middle of the city
Lubię obserwować ptaki, jak latają, a tu latały w cudownej przestrzeni, mając za sobą monumentalny zamek oraz ogromne tereny porośnięte drzewami. Zieloną enklawę w środku miasta.
I really like the eggs of the Lesser Black-backed Gulls. You can see them, for example here (on the Wikipedia website). Beige eggs are decorated with dark brown and light gray small spots. There are a lot of them and they look as if they were painted by a painter, an impressionist. Something wonderful :)
Bardzo mi się podobają jaja mewy żółtonogiej. Możecie je zobaczyć, np. tu (na stronie Wikipedii). Beżowe jaja przyozdobione są ciemnobrązowymi ja jasnoszarymi małymi plamkami. Jest ich bardzo dużo i wyglądają tak jakby pomalował je malarz, impresjonista. Coś cudownego :)
