Painting owls is very fun. I love their mysterious and quiet look. They are graceful and beautiful. They are also gentle but dangerous.
This is a work in progress picture of my artwork.
Here's the process from first to last:
I have a video of the process:
This one painting the moon, I layered very watered down grey, blue, purple and golden brown layers and some yellow too.
This is the background. The stary sky. I dabbed some areas with yellow dots (very faint) and add layers of blue and mixing them.
Final outcome
After layers and layers it comes to this!
This is still with me now and it is framed and I had it displayed on our last exhibit.
The paper I used is 300 gsm I think. It makes the artwork way better since it is more absorbent and smooth.
I can honestly see some mistakes I made but I am happy with the outcome.
What do you think?
What do you like about owls? These barn owls are so beautiful. Golden with spotty details a clean heart shaped face. Dark eyes.
