Thai Temple Birds Revisited For SMaP 153

Yesterday I posted some pictures of birds in a Thai Buddhist temple. I then noticed this week's monochrome theme for the show-me-a-photo contest. Rather than use the same photos, I had enough left-overs to turn them into black-and-white. So, here are some different photos of possibly the same birds in definitely the same place as yesterday.

Not much to add to what I said yesterday except perhaps a brief recap: common birds love urban temples in Thailand for the food, peacefulness and available structures, which provide some great photo-opps. Plus, that these are tree sparrows, rock pigeons, great mynas and one red turtle-dove on its nest.

It almost feels wrong to wipe out all the bright colours of a Buddhist temple under an intense blue sky but on the other hand black-and-white does suit the urban environment so well.
