Show Me A Photo (SMAP) - Hard Life In The City

Hello. This is Round 60 of this contest Show Me A Photo (SMAP) hosted by @nelinoeva. To know more about this just click on the link here. Read on and join the fun!

This week the theme is:

BIRDS WITH HUMANMADE THINGS

In themes such as the one that we have this week, I either turn to entering some art form or to my old reliable - the pigeons! They are so easily photographed, they are practically everywhere in the streets downtown (and in my archives), and they don't fly away from you when you approach them. And so for this week, I fall back on my old reliable and I wouldn't be surprised if there would be other entries similar to mine.

Every morning when I go to the office I see these pigeons perched on electric wires, waiting for food to be thrown to them. There's a store that sells dog and cat food along the way and twice a day the owner throws out some pellets of these on the pavement for them. Once the pigeons see this they go into a frenzy and begin swooping down like Japanese Zeros.

While waiting for feeding time these birds perch on anything that can give them a good vantage point of their provider. They slowly gather in number as the time approaches (the store I found out has a set time for feeding them) for feeding. They're on the electric lines.

All with eyes on the prize. They have to be quick too because the food given them is usually not enough and therefore they always stay alert and ready to swoop down at a drop of a pellet.

Life is real hard for these pigeons and I am just thankful for the owner of the store that generously gives them sustenance everyday. I know this kindness will be repaid a hundredfold.

And that's it for now. Thanking our sponsors The Feathered Friends Community, @melinda010100, @erikah, @ecency and to our tireless judge @oks2crypto. Best of luck to each participant. Stay safe and healthy.
