My encounter with the Ringed Plover in Helgoland

On my photography trip to Helgoland in May 2018 together with Tanja and Stefan I was able to take several pictures of the seldom ringed plover that had a nest there. The male and the female bird where wandering around their nest, so we decided to take only some pictures and leave this spot as soon as possible to not disturb it that much. We also went near this spot only one by one.

I was able to get some really nice pictures of the ringed plover that I am pretty proud of. It is a very beautiful bird that can hide very good in the sand and stones that are there on the beach because of it's color. But since we knew where the nest is we had to wait only for several minutes before it appeared there to take a careful look at me. Since Stefan and Tanja got similar pictures they behaved the same way on inspecting all of us when we layed down on the ground to get some pictures.
