On my trip to Lower Austria I was lucky to find some birds for the first time. One of these is this blue throat. I was very happy when I suddenly saw it on a branch of a tree. I immediately took several pictures in burst shot before it flew to another branch and then away. It was an amazing experience and I hope I have the chance to see it again some time since it is a very beautiful bird. I am so happy that I have a long lens and a decent camera so I could capture its beauty. But still it was a little bit far away and the first picture is a cropped one.

On the following picture you can see the actual photo I took, eventhough I had a 600mm lens on a Crop Camera that equals 900mm in full Frame the bird is still very small and far away. But I had decent light conditions and with cropping the picture on the PC I was able to still get a decent shot of the bird. And hey it is my first bluethroat. :-)
Unfortunately, it was pretty far away even for my 600mm lens. Picture: Florian Glechner.
