In January this year, I visited a birding place at the Danube river near a water power plant for some bird photography. It was a pretty cold day and I didn't stay very long but still I was lucky and took several nice pictures of birds at the snow covered river shore. I was happy when I got back home because it was freezing and wet outside and I didn't really like this weather condition. But for nice bird photos I would risk a lot, even a wet and cold sweater, coat and trousers.
