Greetings to all!
This week's theme in the #smap contest centers on birds feet and legs. Well here's an unusual pair of feet and legs coming out of the lake just outside the door of our winter rental in Fort Myers Florida. I liked how this picture captured the water droplets coming off his feet.
This large and powerful bird took to the air with just a few flaps of his beautiful wings. WOOSH, WOOSH, then he was gone.
This gentleman just stopped in his tracks to observe his feathered friend's Lift Off. It's a good thing his foot was like a tripod or he may have flopped on his beak.
The Great Egret, with his pure white feathers and black legs, trotted to the lake for a better view.
Now this chick was all dolled up with her fancy yellow feet and striped stockings. She was patiently waiting for her date. They were going to stroll the boardwalk, then have a nice dinner together. I think fresh fish was on the menu.🐟🐟🐟
As it turns out, her date was running late.
These orange feet are webbed and looking good for a little paddle in the pond. This cute duck with lovely feet had a date too.
Luckily, her date was on time. A little paddle boating was in order on this warm and cozy evening in Southwest Florida.
Let's go honey, I have a wonderful evening planned.
We will watch the sunset.
Then we can cozy up to watch the moon rise.
It's a full moon tonight...
Perfect for some romance.
THE END
