#SMaP Show Me A Photo Contest Round 180 - Theme: Ordinary Birds

This morning, the weather had a touch of autumn in the air as a rainstorm passed through. I found myself sitting in my car, sheltering from the rain, while taking photos of the birds on the wall nearby. It's a popular bird feeding spot, and I had left some seed out for them to enjoy.

Of course, the first bird to turn up was the robin, looking a bit bedraggled from the rain. It seemed to be keeping a watchful eye on me.

The robin was quickly joined by a dunnock and nuthatch, but they were chased away by the more assertive robin, which is always frustrating.

The rain finally stopped. As I opened the car door ready to go for a walk, I spotted a wood pigeon sitting up in the tree, waiting its turn to swoop down for some bird seed. All of these birds may seem ordinary to my area, but I still enjoyed taking photos of them while waiting for the rain to stop, and at least they got a good feed.

This is my entry to the #SMaP Show Me A Photo Contest Round 180 - Theme: Ordinary Birds.

Thank you to @nelinoeva and the rest of the #featheredfriends team for running the contest.
