Show Me A Photo Contest | The More The Merrier | Bunch Of Wilson's Plovers Chilling In The Bahamas

This is my entry for this weeks Feathered Friends - The More The Merrier contest by @nelinoeva .

🌴 Wilson's plovers chillin' like a villain🌴

While spending some time in the Bahamas I was able to capture a bunch of Wilson's plovers (Charadrius wilsonia) with a Nikon Coolpix AW100.

They were just chillin' like the villains at the dock of Stuart Cove's, a cool place to hang out at and do shark adventures.

Stuart Cove's is located in Nassau, southwest, near South Ocean Beach.

Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas, founded in 1670 and located on New Providence Island.

It has been recognized as part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, as a city of Crafts and Folk Art, and is definitely worth a trip.

Wilson's plovers are medium-sized, heavy-billed shorebirds, living of sandy beaches in southern United States and coastal South America.

They often hang out in groups during nonbreeding season.

The nonbreeding adults have a pale brown color.

Characteristic for breeding adults is the black band around the neck.

Wilson's plovers are feeding on marine worms and insects, but they won't take down a nice juicy crab either.

They are cute little birds and it is fun watching them. Join my excitement about these cute lil motherf*** by watching this short video and say Hi to them 😄 .

Bye Bye Wilson's plovers! You rock🤘!
