Spring and birds

I wanted to show the bird houses today, but looking through the archive, I realized that it would take me a lot of time to search, and the time is already late. I'll look for them tomorrow.Spring is a wonderful time. When I am not at home, my wife usually fills the bird feeders, but I was away from home for a week, but my wife did not feed the birds, because she decided that the birds would be able to find food for themselves. But I still continue to feed the birds, but now when I wake up, I see that the feeders are almost empty. The sun is already rising above the horizon at 5 am, which means that the birds arrive for breakfast at about 4 am. At 6 in the morning, the birds finish the last seeds. Now they look very bright in the sunlight.






A couple of weeks ago I saw 3 dead bullfinches. They were lying on the snow not far from the tree. They were 2 males and one girl. Why did they die? What happened? I don't think the food is to blame for the birds' deaths. If the seeds had been poisoned, many more birds would have died. Or maybe a hawk is to blame for their death, which periodically appears next to the feeder and scares the birds. They hit my window. Sometimes the blows even leave blood.



The tits will come to my feeder even after the snow has completely disappeared.
But while the snow is still lying in the garden, in the field, in the forest.
In 2018 and 2019, heavy snowfall was on April 22. By that time, migratory birds had already arrived from warm places and many of them died due to the cold and lack of food. In 2020, the snowfall was on April 12. My feeders were full of food and there were a lot of migratory birds around them again. That's why I try to feed the birds as long as possible.
