One snails death.. is another ones feast...

After dinner i went outside in the garden to see if there is something nice for a picture.
The first thing i notice is this wasp on my path

At first i thought it was dead so i turned on the camera and flash light,
and took some pictures takes some time to get it right with manual focus so you always take some extra shots :)

Apparently the wasp was very bussy eating some snaill left overs.

That gave me the oppertunity to enhance the magnification and move in a bit closer [ +/- 4 cm from target]

And then i was abel to see how it was chewing on the soft tissue remains of the snail.

he seems to enjoy the meal

not being botherd by the paparazi at all

and then someone else joined the table

a bit shy at first

slowly showing it's face

scaring the wasp away i think

nice wings

and then it was gone , that is the soft tissue it was feeding of

guess the ants will finish it off

The manager is already shouting ;)

the way manual focus works with this lens is movingg the camera forward and backwards no zooming on lens, no tripod used just my old hands :)

To give you an idea of how close you need to get to the subjects :
