Up at 4am, as I had two doctor appointments today and the first one was early.
Two surprises awaited me today and the first one was that all of the photos in here were taken from our car along the route to the first doctor's rooms.
The second surprise took place at the second doctor and you will not see it, but I will explain it at the end of the post.
Thankfully the first doctor's visit didn't take too long as he drained some blood from me into tubes to be sent to a lab for testing.
A great opportunity for me to take some photos along the journey.
So come and see our sunrise this morning.
Great to see the early sun lighting up the buildings below on the beach front.
That little white spot at the left below the top cloud was a plane.
Now the second doctor was a horse of a different color, as he decided that my main arterial feeds should be comprehensively scanned from top to bottom. He said that the process would take an hour and then he passed me on to a young lady that would do the process. So the doctor left as he had a theater appointment and the lady led me into a room that had one of those casino machines. At least to me they sound like casino machines, but in fact they are connected to a thing that looks like a small hairless rabbit that they call a Doppler. A cable leads from the Doppler to the machine and this thing can see everything in one's arteries.
I always get nervous when a lady asks me to take my pants off and to lie down. Marian was far away waiting for me in the reception rooms and without a pants on I was delivered like a fresh octopus on a plate for this lady to do what she liked with me. Thankfully I didn't see any cutlery or culinary utensils in the rooms. I think only dentists keep those things in their rooms.
In any case this lady started smearing me with oil and I also didn't see an oven in the room, so she didn't have the idea of roasting me. I keep on digressing into my thoughts at the time, as the lady then ever so slowly started sliding that doppler over me starting from above my left ear down the side of my neck, over my stomach, down my left leg and ending at my ankle. All the time while she was ever so slowly sliding it up and down in some spots, the machine sang some casino tunes.
So this is my explanation about this scanning treatment, as she also did the right side and behind my legs.
After 2 hours she was done and wiped the oil off me so that I shined like a polished car.
What an experience and sorry for the jokes as I cling to them for my sanity.
