A Therapy with Nature

She was up for an early morning walk in the woods. She felt as though her body has been beaten despite not doing much in the last few days. Her mind was quite a mess too and couldn't figure out what was it that's keeping her down. Perhaps walking will help get her equilibrium back.

She took a different route this time. "This is going to be a new adventure," she thought as she made her way through the narrow path noticing a wee anthill.

She was surprised that it withstood the rain of the previous evening. "Did they make this through the night?" she wondered as she walked past it. And then she found more!

But where are they? "Aah, they might be resting," this time, she mumbled as she stood up. Ants amaze her, they are probably the most resilient tiny creatures out there. She wondered if they even know that the rainwater would soon destroy their home. "Maybe... but they keep going anyway," her mind was giving some answers to her own question.

She noticed colorful blossoms as she headed farther and couldn't help appreciating them.

She was deep in thoughts when she heard a sound from somewhere close. "I don't believe there would be snakes around here," she was trying to kill some fear lurking as she slowly took some more steps. "Aha! I knew it wasn't a snake!" she lit up seeing a little lizard who seems to have heard her and stopped.

Feeling relieved, she went on with her adventure, stopping once and a while to rest or when she notices some thing interesting. And there were plenty of them!

She reached a private yard and met a beauty. "What can I do for ya?" the kitty meowed kinda loud. It must be guarding the property. "I was on for a walk and this is my first time to pass around here. Hope you won't mind, I'll just take a little rest before I head on," she explained smiling.

"Okay, take your time," the kitty said gently. It must have felt she isn't a threat.

She looked around but no one else was there. "I wonder where the owners of this place are this time of day," she was baffled as she looked around, noticing a little toy truck. It was really quiet and she appreciated that the cat gave her peace too.

Feeling rested, she thanked the kitty and went on her way. Just outside that property was a small farm planted with potatoes. She gushed and smiled seeing the path lined with short grasses. "Looks like I'm about to walk through a carpeted walkway!" her mind exclaimed.

Giddily, she took some joyful strides on the path feeling like a little kid.

The carpeted path led her down to a small creek with crystal clear waters. She was mesmerized by the brown rocks which seem to have been paved naturally for the water to flow through.

She pondered upon the magic of nature as she spent some more moments there listening to the gentle sounds of the water, so therapeutic to her body and soul.

"Thank you... Nature indeed is the best physician," she whispered gratefully as she walked away from the place, her spirits feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. She knew her day is going to be amazing and she will make it so...

It's the weekend for me and it's so quiet yet my mind is all over the place this morning. Had to craft this little story through photos taken at different times during an adventure with the farmboy. It seems to have helped that after finishing this, I'm up my feet ready to do things, lol!

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
