Yesterday, Thursday, was an interesting one. When I posted this, and my bread photo on Instagram, I hadn't expected this:
From the author of the cookery book that I used. It's like getting a gold star from the teacher and no better incentive to carry on.
Who would have thought that glop wild yeast (i.e. fermenting flour and water), aka Mother Ursula, would make me so happy.
Here she is after I had taken what I needed for the rolls for Saturday market, and waiting to be fed to make the next batch. That mother is now over a year old and has made more than 1,200 rolls and now, at least one loaf of bread.
But that's not all. After supper, I was tagged on Facebook. I am part of a village group where we share photographs:
