It's a perfect setting for a perfect double 60th birthday celebration at the end of the Road to Nowhere, at the top of the mountain and under open skies.
Family, friends, food and fun.
Live music with one of the birthday people singing a solo while the other, her husband, listens adoringly.
The band, local farmers and winemakers (with the leguaan the most inattentive member of the audience) proves the depth of talent.
My aching feet bear testimony to our having danced like we haven't in a very long while.
The mountain breeze kept us cool and blew away any nasties.
A celebration especially special as this week marks the 10th anniversary of our move to McGregor.
Which brings me to the gift: a gift voucher from a local wellness provider and a selection of my market products. As The Husband said, the other day, who would have thought, then, that 10 years later, not only would I have a stand at the market, but a selection of products (in demand) and that I would be the third "oldest" stall holder after the founder (20 years) and Farmer Judy (about 10).
One really does never know where life's path takes one.
Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
- re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
- and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
- From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.
