It's Not Just The Owners Fault When TE's Don't Convert Well

If you are getting views in a Traffic Exchange it is not the owners fault if your pages are not converting.

Traffic exchange owners carry a big responsibility trying to keep both the Advertisers and the Surfers happy. There has to be attention to the site that are advertised but still make it worth while for the surfer to surf sites at their traffic exchange.

For the surfer it is pretty simple just have to have a good surf ratio so that the surfer feels the clicks they are getting compared to the credits they are getting are fair.

On the advertising side, traffic exchange owners just need to make sure their sites are working properly and stay clean without much distraction. Another problem they face is people who want to use bots and cheat the surfing for free credits. Traffic exchanges only work if real eye balls are looking at sites.

To me as long as the Traffic Exchange owners are doing their part and making sure their sites are working properly it is not their problem if the advertisers sites are not converting. As an advertiser it is your job to stand out and get peoples attention to sign up to your list. There may be some design flaws in the average traffic exchange that allows surfers not to pay attention to the advertisements as much as they should but that doesn't change the fact that you need to stand out and get peoples attention.

Check my video where I talk a little more about these things. I am not sure what the exact fix across the board is but we as owners, surfers and advertisers need to do everything possible to make for the best experience we can.

It has been great the last few days to have enough sites in the scavenger hunt to do a full hunt without surfing the same sites over and over again, hopefully this will keep up for a while.

Below you can see the journey I had today around Listopia in search of Luke the list builder.

In general it was a good day surfing today, here is the lead capture page I have been using for the scavenger hunts and below is the tracking stats for all the sites that have been in the scavenger hunts.
