In Venezuela, the police must coordinate with the National Superintendence of Cryptoassets (Sunacrip) any procedure or inspection of Bitcoin (BTC) miners or other cryptocurrencies. Failure to comply with the regulations, police officers could face prison sentences.
Any public official who hinders or stops bitcoin or other cryptoassets transactions will be punished with three to five years imprisonment, provided that there is no cause justified by Sunacrip.
