Hello everyone. It is Friday. The weekend breeze is already blowing, !LOL Larry as usual, before commencing his routine business of the day decides to take a look at today in #history. And here we go:
Gentlemen, do you know that on this day in 1953, 27-year-old Elizabeth II, King George VI's older daughter, was crowned queen of the United Kingdom in Westminster Abbey, having inherited the throne following her father's death in February 1952.
Do you also know that on this day in 1946 following World War II, the Italian people voted to replace the ruling monarchy with a republic.
Moreso, on this day in 1940, Constantine II, King of Greece from 1964 to 1974, was born at Psikhikó, near Athens.
Again, on this day in 1886, Frances Folsom, 21, married US President Grover Cleveland in the White House and became the country's youngest first lady.
Finally, on this day in 1840, Thomas Hardy, an English author and poet who set much of his work in Wessex, a fictional county in southern England, was born.
Let's now move over to the hunt for Larry...
Larry the postman as usual went about his duties delivering mails and am sure you know you can also get paid for just finding him. On my path, I hunted and found Larry in three places, that is, at Listnerds, Leadsleap and CTPX!
With my hunt at Listnerds I read over ten mails to complete the task. It is the time.of thr month when hivians power up. So most of the mails I read centered on that. Here are some of the interesting ones I read:
