Holler hive open mic community, it's week 113 and I'm super excited about this week's theme "Infantil" which means child-like. For this week,I'd be performing a song associated with my childhood titled "This Little Light Of Mine"🕯️✨. My earliest memory of this song can be dated as far back my days in primary school,while we assembled every morning, we were taught this song and eventually it became like an anthem that we sang everyday.
Even in church as well,this song was something we sang on a regular, telling us to be the light, and for us shine our light for the world to see. A Bible verse was even thought in this regard and I can't forget it.
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matt. 5:16).
I don't even know who wrote this short but lovely song,searched and searched but couldn't attribute it to anyone in particular, but it's a song that is sung all over the world today. Well I kinda added a little twist to it, for more emphasis cause the world today needs a lot of light today particularly in my country Nigeria, I really pray and hope God comes through and intervenes as soon as possible.
